Pizza lovers unite! Arrange a "topping buffet" and let your guests make their own personal pizzas. Pizza, like so many other foods, did not originate from the country for which it is now famous. In the case of pizza, the foundation was laid by the Greeks who baked large round breads on witch they applied oil, herbs, spices and dates. Eventually, the idea of flat bread found its way to Italy where it was finally called pizza. At this stage, it wasn't topped with anything. However, in 1989 queen Margherita traveled around her kingdom and found she loved …the round breads eaten by the peasants of Naples. She summoned a chef, Rafael Esposito from his pizzeria to the royal palace to bake a selection of pizzas for her. To honor the queen, Rafael created a pizza topped with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil to represent the Italian flag. This pizza still carries the name of the queen→
